Quick start
Create a team account, add your first risk, and connect a treatment in a few minutes.
This guide walks through the smallest useful loop in RiskCurb: one workspace, one risk, one treatment. Once you have done it once, the rest of the register follows the same pattern.
1. Create a team account
After you sign in, create a team account for your risk function or agency. Name it after the team that will work in it, for example "Enterprise Risk". Everything else in the workspace lives under this account.
2. Add your first risk
Open the risk register and create a new risk. Give it:
- A plain-language title, written as a risk statement
- A category, such as operational, strategic, or project risk
- An owner and an accountable department
- Inherent likelihood and impact ratings
If you are moving in a spreadsheet register, start with your top ten risks rather than importing everything at once. A small, accurate register is more useful than a large, stale one.
3. Connect a control or treatment
From the risk, add a control that currently mitigates it, or a treatment action planned to reduce it. Assign an owner and a due date. This is the step that turns a list into a system: the risk now carries its own response.
4. Check the reporting view
Open the reporting dashboard. Your risk, its rating, and its treatment status already appear in the trend and exposure views. No separate reporting step is needed.
